Prawn Manchurian is an easy delicious recipe.
king prawn - half kg (peeled,deveined, rinsed and drained)
egg white - 1
corn flour - 1 tbsp
pepper - quarter tsp
salt - to taste
chopped ginger, garlic - each 2 tsp
chopped green chilli - 1
big onion chunks - 1
red capsicum chunks - 1
chopped spring onion - half cup
chicken stock - quarter cup
corn starch - quarter- half cup(2 tbsp dissolved in half cup water)
soy sauce - 1-2 tbsp
tomato sauce - 1-2 tbsp
oyster sauce - 1 tbsp (optional)
oil - to fry
salt & pepper - to taste
sugar -l tsp (optional)
SERVES - 3
Steps to follow:
In a bowl add prawns,salt,pepper,egg white,corn flour and mix well, Marinate for half an hour.
Heat oil in a pan fry the marinated prawns,drain and keep aside.
In an other pan pour 2 tbsp oil from prawn fried oil, add chopped ginger,garlic,green chilli and saute well.
Then add onion cubes,capsicum cubes and fry for a minute, pour chicken stock and allow the capsicum and onion to cook for 1 minutes.
Then add fried prawns and mix well. add the sauces one by one and mix well. then add freshly ground pepper to taste and add chopped spring onions .Stir well.
Add corn starch and stir continuously. Finally adding sugar, tomato sauce and soy sauce for taste is optional.
Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve immediately as a starter or side dish.
